L.A. Confidential

L.A Confidential very aptly points out the stark contrast between people, their way of thinking and their style of doing a particular task. It is a story involving the LAPD and the city of Los Angeles in the 1950s.As the story progresses it unravels the mystery behind a high profile scam, a network of
organized crime investigated by three officers in their own styles, often disagreeing with each other finally finding their ways crossed. The dialogue writing and delivery was perfect and the fitting one liners were engaging.Watch the movie for its distinctive portrayal of people and their instincts and also its accomplished starcast.

The Great Deabaters

This is one of the perfect movies Hollywood has delivered. All the actors especially Denzel Washington have given mesmerizing performances. Not all of you may like it though. It is an extremely slow and steady paced story. The film captivatingly shows the atrocious race apartheid that used to exist in U.S. A young black teacher decides to stand up to the injustice bestowed upon his kind, at the same time leading a college debate team of black students to challenge Harvard in national championship. So sit back n enjoy some meaningful cinema.

Juno

A full-on entertainer effectively showcasing the wit of the script and dialogues writer. A very lightheaded comedy which brings an important topic into limelight. A sixteen year old teenager faces an unplannned prenancy.A boy facing a similar situation should step into the shoes of Paulie Bleeker and act maturely. The actress Ellen Page portrays the character with the bravura of a star. Her comic timing was perfect and dialougue delivery was flawless. None of the jokes fell flat. She renders a character with a caring heart. She settles for a closed custody yet considers the relationship between the foster parents. If every family is as supportive as Juno's family is in such hard times ,we wont' have kids getting off-track. So dudes and damsels grab ur pop corn and enjoy one and a half hours of pure fun and enlightenment too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!lolzzzzz

Requiem for a dream

An experience which literally thwarted at our face by the director with his brilliant cinematography that dawns us to the heinous after affects of drug addiction. The immaculate portrayal of the emotions of a drug addict has reigned upon the viewers' minds. It has given vent to how getting succumbed to drugs can devastate a person's life. The hasty choices made by the emotionally unstable characters trying to derive some meaning out of their otherwise unoccuring lives drove them to self-destruction. The story revolves around four individuals a mother ,her son,his girl friend and his friend. It narrates how the relationship between the mother and her son and that between the son and his lover is torn apart because of unavailiabilty of drugs. I would advice this movie to every person irrespective of his age just for its exceptional cinematography.
